What did you do this past week?

This week my partner and I finished up Voting. Besides that, I attended class and tried to focus a bit more on my other classes.

What’s in your way?

There’s not much in my way at this point. I started slacking in some of my other classes last week because I was so focused on Voting, and now it is time to play catch up.

What will you do next week?

Since I have a while before I need to start project 3, I’m going to take some time to focus on other things. I have an exam in business law on Monday, so studying for that will take up the rest of this weekend. After that, I really need to start paying more attention in my programming languages class because it’s starting to get more difficult. If time permits, I will start reviewing for the upcoming OOP exam.

What was your experience of containers, container adapters and iterators?

I thought the material this week was pretty straight forward and explained really well. I feel that I have a good understanding of vectors, lists, stacks, and queues. I was feeling a little tired on Monday so I didn’t really understand deques, but that’s nothing that a few quick google searches can’t fix.

What made you happy this week?

I got cold called earlier this week in class, and though I found the question difficult, I’m glad its over with. It’s nice that I can now just relax and absorb information in class instead of constantly worrying about being called, at least until the next rotation.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions on Piazza. For this class specifically, I was a little hesitant about posting because there is no “anonymous” option. This semester I started getting really involved with Piazza for all of my classes, and found that no question can be a bad one because others are probably wondering the same things.
