What did you do this past week?

This week I met up with my group to start brainstorming ideas for our website. It is super important to get this part right because we’ll have to continue with this idea all semester, and have to ensure that it has enough potential to grow over the next 4 phases.

What’s in your way?

The idea had a lot of requirements, and we found it really hard to nail one down. We finally got one and can now start creating our project, which is a huge relief. I don’t know how to use most of the technologies needed, but I’m sure I’ll pick them up as needed.

What will you do next week?

Next week we will really start to flesh out our project. We have everything mostly set up, and now it’s about getting the visuals up and running. I’m pretty excited for the next week, but hope it doesn’t become too stressful as the project is due in a few days.

What was your experience of types, object models, and iterators? (this question will vary, week to week)

This stuff was pretty easy. I already know a lot of python, and a lot of the concepts we went over in data structures a few years ago. Luckily lecture so far has been mostly review, which is nice because it allows for more bandwidth on the project.

What made you happy this week?

I got all of my roommates really into Jeopardy and now we watch it together every night. It’s awesome because when I first expressed how much I love Jeopardy they all thought it was lame, and now they love it as much as I do. :)

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Get a bullet journal! I finally gave in and purchased one, and I am having so much fun with it. I never thought I’d be the type to be so into this, but it is so nice having one place to keep my life organized. I’ve found that I’m already better at completing tasks on time and reaching personal goals without feeling overwhelmed.
